Tai Chi Training in China
Learn Chen Style Taiji quan (Tai Chi) in a wonderful mountain area from teachers, who trained in Chenjiagou, the origin of the world famous Chen Style Taiji quan. Of course our instructors have a lot of teaching experience and speak Chinese and English language.
Chen Style Taiji quan encompasses internal forms, weapons and fighting elements.

No matter what skill you possess, if you have never come into contact with Chinese Martial Arts, whether you are a beginner or advancer, or you have exercised a completely different martial arts, you are all welcome to our school to lern from the trainers of decades of martial arts experience. All trainers trained Chinese martial arts since childhood and have deep experience in teaching Tai Chi for foreign students. Of course our masters speak Chinese and English language.

The training is extremely demanding and is held in small groups six days a week, so that a very good preparation is recommended home.
AIM
This unique Chinese Martial Arts program is designed to immerse participants in Chen Style Taiji quan. The trainer themselves trained many years in Chenjiagou, the origin of Chen Style Taiji quan, so a wide range of authentic Tai Chi forms and weapons are offered.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Practicing Chen Style Taiji quan develops physical and mental fitness, mental concentration, your Qi and good health. In order to cultivate strong Qi, you need to have strong leg muscles, as they are the pillars of your body. The firmer the foundation, the stronger will be the force that you can exert.
In addition, practicing Taiji quan improves coordination, balance, strength, and self-defense skills.
Qi Gong breathing and meditation exercises with regular exercise have a positive effect on stress reduction, and serve to harmonize and regulate the flow of qi in the body. With help of Qi Gong, we can live happier and cope without stress in our working lives.

The training time depends on the time of year so they could vary.

1) Core Training
The first step to be a good Tai Chi Student is to strength your body. Therefore everyday fitness training and increase flexibility is absolutely necessary.
2) Martial Arts Basics
Taiji quan Basic training focuses on stance training for balance, repetition of movements for control; and series of movements for coordination and overall fitness.

3) Marts Arts Electives
YOU decide, which styles, forms or weapons (depending on your skill) you would like to learn.
The standard training forms are the following, but if you wish to learn more advanced or other styles, this is possible too.
Standard Forms
- Taiji Quan(Tai Chi)
- Consists of graceful, continuous movements combined with breathing control to promote relaxation, balance, flexibility, muscle tone, and coordination while improving participants' overall physical and mental agility.
- Taiji Sword
- Complements Taiji Quan with the use of the sword as an extension of the body. Defensive and attacking sword techniques.
- Taiji Broadsword
- Complements Taiji Quan with the use of the Broadsword as an extension of the body. Defensive and attacking sword techniques.
- Taiji Spear
- Complements Taiji Quan with the use of the +Spear as an extension of the body. Defensive and attacking spear techniques.
- Pushing Hands
- Consists of graceful, continuous movements combined with breathing control to promote relaxation, balance, flexibility, muscle tone, and coordination while improving participants' overall physical and mental agility.
- Internal Development
- Qi, also commonly spelled Chi is a fundamental concept of traditional Chinese culture. Qi is believed to be part of everything that exists, as in life force or spiritual energy.
Your Qi is developed through regular practice. Step by step your Qi will gradually build up. There are further stages you need to progress through before you can even think of mastering your Qi. As our masters often advise us, you need to practice seriously and very hard in order to break through the different stages.
The specific development of the mind in using it to control the body is essential to Taiji quan. This is important in that you have control over your body just by using your mind's intent.
MARTIAL ARTS AND CHINESE LANGUAGE COMBINATION PROGRAM
This program is ideal for those who wish to combine Martial Arts training with Chinese Language studies to get benefits of both courses or to make a soft start into tai chi training and switch later to full time Martial Arts training.
Language classes focus on developing listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation.

SIGHTSEEING
To learn more about china culture and chinese way of life, our school offers sightseeing tours (additional fees) every 1 1/2 - 2 months. In Henan province, there are a variety of places which deserve to have a visit. The belowing ones are just a small selection of possible sightseeing tours, which you can visit. Of course you can explore with other foreign students independently the faszierenden landscapes, temples and historic buildings in your free time.
- Daily activities with Native Chinese Speakers
- You can visit the sacred Shaolin Temple located in Song Shan Mountains, see the tombs of famous shaolin monks or watch a Shaolin Wushu performance
- Famous Luoyang buddhist caves with a 17 m high buddha
- Visit the imperial city Kaifeng one of seven ancient capital of china

HOW LONG SHOULD I STAY
Our courses are both designed for short-term students as well as for long-term students.
The length of the stay depends on what for knowledge you have, or what you want to achieve during your training stay.

Short term stay 1 - 6 months: At this time, your physical condition and strain will be improved significantly. You'll learn the basics of Shaolin Kung Fu, the positions, kicks, punches. Furthermore, you will learn, depending on length of stay, the first forms with and without weapons (stick and sword). If you want to have a brief insight into the training and China, a short-term stay is suitable for you.

Average length of stay of 6 - 12 months: Your physical fitness will be improved and you will learn more difficult movements, kicks and acrobatics (flips, backflip) or their combinations. Your responsiveness is increased significantly. Furthermore, you will learn advanced forms with and without weapons. Would you get more than just an insight into the training, you want to learn the basics of Chinese language, then this is the right program for you.

Long-term stay longer than 12 months: You will learn a variety of forms and many advanced weapons. Furthermore, you will be introduced to the basics of Buddhism as a basis for the Shaolin Kung Fu, because only when your body and your heart are in harmony, you can learn the true Shaolin Kung Fu. If you want to build their own Kung Fu school in your home, this program is right for you.

- Arrival and departure to/from Zhengzhou (flight to Beijing and an innerflight from Beijing to Zhengzhou)
